Bedell Cristin has a dedicated insolvency practice. The team deals with every aspect of contentious and non contentious insolvency and restructuring. Anthony Dessain, who is widely regarded as Jersey's leading insolvency expert - and was ranked as Jersey's top insolvency lawyer by Legal 500 2006/07 - is the co-author of "Jersey Insolvency and Asset Tracking" (now in its third addition) with Michael Wilkins, the Viscount of the Royal Court of Jersey.

The team is instructed by a broad cross section of lawyers, accountants, insolvency practitioners and the Viscount, to advise on all aspects of insolvency and restructuring, together with asset tracking, disclosure and freezing orders and works closely with the firm's litigation department.

The team, which has particular expertise in insolvencies with an international element, has been involved in many significant international insolvencies and has been at the forefront of developing Jersey law on assisting foreign officeholders and seeking assistance from the courts of other jurisdictions and has been central in promoting Jersey as an international financial centre with a co-operative insolvency regime.
