David practised as an English barrister for nearly 10 years before moving to Jersey. He appeared before many tribunals (including the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal). David has a wide and varied litigation practice ranging from trust and land estates litigation through to clinical negligence. He has recently been involved in the recent cases involving enforcement against Jersey trusts of foreign judgments. He also has extensive experience in banking and regulatory work including Proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering.

He is an Accredited Mediator and is highly regarded for his advocacy skills. He is acknowledged by the current Legal 500 directory as "a star whose practice is building well". David is also recognised by the Chambers 2008/09 directory as interviewees say "he gives extremely sound advice and gauges the air of the courtroom brilliantly."
