Shane has considerable experience in banking and structured finance work having worked for many leading banks and financial institutions on some of the most innovative financing structures created in Jersey over recent years.

He has advised on the establishment and development of a number of market leading European commercial paper conduits and credit card and mortgage receivables master trusts. He also advises on CMBS and RMBS structures and cash and synthetic CEOs and CDOs. Through his position as a director of Bedell Trust he also sits on the board of many of the SPVs established to participate in these structures.

Shane has written and contributed to various articles on securitisation and the use of SPVs. Shane is acknowledged by the Chambers 2008/09 directory as "astute technically and a very professional individual" and he is recognised by the 2008/09 Legal 500 as "client focused, flexible and a good problem solver." He is cited by the International Financial Law Review as a "partner recognised by peers for the quality of his work especially in structured finance" and one of only two Jersey lawyers recognised in the Capital Markets work area by Who's Who legal.
