The group provides a wide selection of services for local businesses and individuals. The work falls broadly into two areas; property (residential and commercial sales and leases) and business law advice (regulatory, employment and competition law).
The group is headed by Guy Le Sueur who has over 20 years’ experience in Jersey law. Over recent years there has been a raft of new and complex legislation affecting the work place from the ever burgeoning obligations on employers under the employment legislation to the technical rules of the competition law. There is added pressure on start-ups with the Economic Development Ministry’s ever changing criteria for new businesses starting up in the Island and the considerable experience the group has in advising start-ups and in particular regulatory, employment and competition issues is a genuine advantage for clients.
The residential and commercial property work is handled by a team of 12 headed by Guy Le Sueur and Carl Parslow and undertakes a wide variety of property related work from residential developments to office purchases for blue chip clients and property funds. The team also advises major lenders behind some of Jersey's largest developments and the transaction experience and strength in depth of the team puts us into a position where we are genuinely able to offer value over and above our competitors.
