Richard is an attorney with over 25 years' experience. He has undertaken a wide range of offshore corporate/commercial work and has focused in particular on hedge funds and private equity as well as banking and finance, energy and captive insurance and reinsurance.
During his 10 years in London, Richard undertook a wide range of corporate and commercial work including a large number of cross border and UK domestic mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. He also advised clients on infrastructure projects including oil and gas exploration and development, build own and operate projects for port and pipeline developments and also power station and desalination projects.
Before joining Bedell Cristin, Richard was a partner of two other offshore law firms where he advised some of the top 10 US managers as well as mid-market and start up managers on formation and transactional work. He has also advised private equity managers and financial institutions on subscription finance, acquisition finance and dividend financings. On the hedge fund side, Richard has advised managers and investors on all aspects of hedge funds including formation, restructuring and transactional work. He has also advised financial institutions on fund of fund financings.
