Laura Smalley


Laura joined Bedell Cristin in December 2020 as an Associate in the Cayman financial services team.

Laura advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial law, in particular matters relating to investment funds, Fintech, securities and commercial transactions as well as banking and corporate finance. She regularly provides advice to fund sponsors, institutional investors and managers in relation to structuring, establishment and launch, regulatory requirements and ongoing obligations applicable to Cayman investment funds as well as the restructuring and winding down of such funds.

Prior to joining Bedell Cristin, Laura practised with another offshore firm in the Cayman Islands, before which she was in-house counsel at Dixons Carphone PLC having previously trained and qualified at Eversheds LLP (now Eversheds Sutherland) in London.
