Bedell Cristin announces new trainee intake in the Cayman Islands and Jersey

16 September 2025

Bedell Cristin is pleased to announce the arrivals of Miquela Montana, Joshua Rabet and Lydia Syvret to our trainee scheme in the Cayman Islands and Jersey.

Over the next two years, all three will rotate across our legal practice groups. Miquela joins as an Articled Clerk in the Cayman Islands and is working towards qualification as an Attorney-at-Law. Joshua and Lydia have joined our Jersey office and are working towards qualification as Solicitors of England & Wales.

Miquela was previously a paralegal at another Cayman Islands law firm and a volunteer at the Cayman Islands Legal Assistance Clinic. She undertook her qualifications at the University of Miami and Truman Bodden Law School. Joshua worked as a paralegal in Bedell Cristin’s Jersey Litigation & Dispute Resolution team after graduating from St John’s College, Oxford. Lydia joins the trainee scheme in Jersey, having graduated from the University of York and completed her PGDL at BPP Law School.

In Jersey, our paid two-year Trainee Scheme offers rotations across core legal teams and time with support areas, helping graduates qualify as UK lawyers, typically via the SQE route.

In the Cayman Islands, our paid eighteen-month Articled Clerk training programme provides department rotations on the path to qualification as an Attorney-at-Law.

Graduates of Bedell Cristin’s trainee scheme work across Litigation & Dispute Resolution, International Private Client, Financial Services Law and Real Estate in the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and London.
