Bobby Christie’s role as Seminar Co-Chair highlights our continued commitment to supporting the insolvency and restructuring community and contributing to important industry dialogue.

Our team will be delivering a session exploring the growing scrutiny of trust structures in light of recent English Court of Appeal decisions.

The session will examine how these developments interact with offshore trust arrangements, including when such structures are upheld, when they are challenged, and how issues of solvency, priority, and the payment of creditors are addressed in practice. It will also consider how trust structures may be used - legitimately or otherwise - to place assets beyond the reach of creditors, and how courts respond when those strategies are tested.
