Jeremy is a partner in our BVI litigation practice - he has more than 20 years' experience in private practice and has led some of the most significant cases to come before the BVI courts over the past fifteen years.
He acts for clients - typically in London, the Middle East and Asia - on the full spectrum of BVI law disputes from shareholder disputes to insolvencies, and from commercial litigation to contentious trusts matters.
Jeremy has advised on and appeared in many of the BVI jurisdiction’s leading cases including on the requirements to become a shareholder of a BVI company, the duties of BVI directors, and the BVI Court’s ability to enforce foreign judgments. He has been repeatedly recognised by Legal 500 for the quality of his work. Jeremy regularly appears at all levels of the BVI Court structure including its final appellate court the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London. Jeremy also accepts instructions as a legal expert in BVI law and has done so in multiple jurisdictions.
He practised as a chancery barrister at Enterprise Chambers in London before moving offshore, and is based in our London office spending significant periods of time in the BVI and working closely with our BVI litigation team across our BVI, Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey offices.
Jeremy is a member of RISA and an overseas member of the Chancery Bar Association.
