A Bedell Cristin team has advised a founding minority shareholder and management on the Jersey elements of the £1.4 billion sale of their equity interests in the Ivy Collection - a portfolio of iconic hospitality brands including The Ivy, Annabel's and Scott's.
The deal – which saw the equity interests were sold to an entity controlled by DIAFA, an affiliate of Abu Dhabi's International Holding Company - has been reported as one of the most significant cross-border transactions in the hospitality sector in 2026.
The Bedell Cristin team worked with onshore counsel Mills Oakley, BCLP and Paul Weiss in Sydney and London on the matter, and was led by Edward Drummond, a Co-Global Managing Partner, and Guy Westmacott, the Head of Jersey Corporate.
Guy said: "This was a complex, cross-border matter and we are pleased to have been part of the multi-jurisdiction team that brought the transaction to a successful conclusion."
