Fraser Allister

Fraser advises international clients on the creation and operation of offshore wealth planning structures under Cayman Islands and BVI law, and is a partner in Bedell Cristin's International Private Client team in the Cayman Islands.

His clients include trust companies, family offices, and HNW and UHNW and families and individuals.

He is recognised by both Chambers & Partners High Net Worth Guide and Legal 500 for the quality of his work, and has been in private practice for 18 years – the last ten of which he has spent as both a BVI and a Cayman Islands attorney.

Fraser's practice involves advising on trusts (including STAR trusts and VISTA trusts), foundations, trust companies (including private trust companies), companies and other vehicles.

Fraser also advises on offshore regulations as they apply to international private clients, including anti-money laundering, beneficial ownership registers, CRS / FATCA and economic substance.

He prepares complex and straightforward wills and he helps to guide international clients through the probate and administration of estates process in BVI and the Cayman Islands.

He is a member of the STEP Cayman Council, and sits on the STEP Cayman legislative, regulatory and conference sub-committees, and is a member of the Cayman Islands Compliance Association.

Prior to joining Bedell Cristin in 2021 he worked for another offshore firm, based in the Cayman Islands, for five years.

Before moving to the Cayman Islands, Fraser was a solicitor and chartered tax advisor in the UK, advising high net worth individuals and families on tax and succession planning.
